Phuc Deli Indooroopilly opened in 1999, and has since become one of the most reliable and popular Vietnamese restaurant and cafes in Brisbane’s western suburbs. Mantle Group’s owners, Jenny and Godfrey, saw a gap in the market for fresh and healthy Vietnamese cuisine and with the success of Jimmy’s on the Mall, Milano and Pig ‘N’ Whistle Indooroopilly behind them, it was time to open another venue.
Cooking and eating play an extremely important role in Vietnamese culture so this is ultimately what Phuc Deli West End will embody. Phuc Deli West End is an open, vibrant and friendly venue that people of all ages and ethnicities can come to enjoy traditional Vietnamese food together.
On the menu are authentic Vietnamese style dishes such as Pho noodle soup, traditional Banh Mi rolls and freshly made Vietnamese salads. Our Head Chef, Johnny Tran, has made a name for himself as one of Brisbane’s leading chefs in Vietnamese cuisine and we are often asked for the recipes to dishes, to which Johnny responds, “Perfect Vietnamese dishes are all about using non-compromising ingredients then finding the balance between ying and yang.” One of our signature dishes, the Pho noodle soup, is made from a fragrant beef stock simmered slowly for over 12 hours with usually a combination of marrow bone, oxtail, brisket and a boiler chicken along with fragrant spices of cinnamon, star anise and cardamom pods.
Phuc Deli Indooroopilly has been very successful over the last 17 years and we now have customers travelling from all over Brisbane to get their Phuc Deli fix. With West End and the South Brisbane precinct becoming increasingly bigger and more food centric, it made sense to open a venue that would meet the growing demands and expectations of foodies in the inner CBD.
We worked with the best of the best to ensure Phuc Deli West End was a trendy and aesthetically pleasing venue that people want to be seen at. Alongside delicious food, the venue fitout is fresh and exciting. Phuc Deli features a six metre wide hand painted wall by a Sydney-based artisan specialising in hand painted signage, gilding, decorative glass art, murals, and a variety of decorative hand painted finishes. This wall is a standout feature and talking point for Phuc Deli West End.
Phuc Deli West End is quite similar to Indooroopilly’s venue but with the introduction of freshly made Banh Mi rolls and a fully stocked bar with great beers and wines on tap. Unlike Indooroopilly which caters predominantly to the shoppers of Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and those who want a quick but satisfying fix for dinner, West End’s target customer is inner CBD workers. This target market will include those working in South Brisbane and South Bank, who are looking for a healthy lunch, or for the after work dwellers who prefer to linger over refreshing fresh fruit cocktails and frozen cup saké with friends.
At night, Phuc Deli offers a leisurely dining experience with a wider variety of dishes. To accompany this, Phuc Deli West End offers a fully stocked bar, serving frozen cup sakes, Shochu, Asian craft beers, and quality wine by the glass. The aim was to create a place to dine with a beautiful ambiance, coupled with great food and wine.
